Default Question to other Baby Boomer old timers over 40!

I wasn't sure whether or not to post this question in the music or movies sub-forum, but figured this one would probably be better.

Question is, do any of y'all remember the old "CBS Movie of the Week" (during the late 60's and perhaps VERY early 70's) theme song which introduced it?

And if so, WHAT was the name of it and does a file exist to download it???

I always thought that musical score was one of the best ever, and used to just love to hear it even if the movie itself wasn't worth a damn! LOL

Was that link helpful? Are you sure it was CBS and not ABC? There seems to be a lot more info out there for ABC than CBS. Oh well. I hope it worked.

Oh, and I'm just barely over 40. I would never consider myself a baby boomer though.

Boomers are those born between 1946 and 1964. That makes me one

I remember the CBS Movie of the Week. Considering that there were only the Big Three channels back then (plus the UHF channel. we had to turn a different knob on the teevee and sometimes adjust the roof antennae to access it ), that 2 hour block was an Event in most households. Few even knew what the movie would be (unless you checked the TV Guide), but everyone still tuned in.

Great link - I've been trying to remember the name of that show with Tony Franciosa for the longest time Loved that one, especially how the characters rotated every three weeks, sort of like Law & Order: CI now. Those guys were soooo cool.

Well, unfortunately, it didn't work...but may at a future point in time. Apparently, the page is temporary and an e-mail request (as suggested on the page) "bounced" on me (although I will try again.)

No, this was definitely CBS. And during the late 60's to very early 70's.

But thanks for the assistance (and rep points to you as well), and hopefully the link you sent will work later.

Meanwhile, if any others remember and know of this great musical introduction, please pass it on.

Exactly right! Good memories!

*laughing a bit in recollection* Sometimes in my hometown we didn't even get THREE. The local ABC affiliate was out of town and lots of times it would be barely coherent!
