I prefer TNG movies as a whole to those with the original cast. I went to the theater in great anticipation when the first Star Trek movie came out and was sorely disappointed. The crew were no longer wide-eyed and innocent. They seemed to me to have become hardened professionals, totally jaded. TNG as a TV series and on the big screen re-captured the enthusiasm of adventure and exploration of the original TV series.

I watched Undiscovered Country and it was awful. That was voted as one of the very best. I'm not too sure I like Star Trek

In order:

Wrath of Khan (one of the best SF movies ever made; one of the best action/adventure movies ever made; THE best film version of Moby Dick ever made)

Undiscovered Country

The Voyage Home

The Motion Picture

The Search for Spock

The Search for God (can't remember the real title; the one Shatner directed)

All of the NextGen movies kind of run together in my mind. I can't remember which was which.
