Here's another that is bound to get a lot of Oscar attention - Watchmen. This graphic novel is the most critically acclaimed, award winning piece of literary work ever.
Providing they stick close to the original writing, along with the visuals, this movie could very well be considered for best picture. You heard it here first - BEST PICTURE.

You are so lucky! I saw the trailer this weekend and it looks incredible. Gave me goosebumps and I can't wait to see it. Looks like a good performance from AJ.

I think The Dark Knight deserves all the talk it's gotten and will be right up there. I have very high hopes for The Road. I'd like to think Wall-E will get some recognition beyond best animated.

Rumors abound here in LA-LA Land that Ricky Gervais from The Office (UK) and the new movie Ghost Town will be the host of the Oscars. Anyone heard? I think he would be great bringing the dry Brit humor.

This is a romantic drama from Baz Luhrman, which is set in pre WW II Australia, stars Nicole Kidman as an English aristocrat who inherits a sprawling cattle ranch, and Hugh Jackman as the cattle rancher who helps protect her property by greedy English cattle barons. While everything is being done to protect her inherited ranch, the battle of the Pacifc campaign is slowly approaching.
For your Consideration.......

That movie sounds so boring I actually fell asleep while reading your post.
I plan on calling my DSL company and asking for a refund of that 15 seconds of my time in reading your post about the Hugh Jackman/Baz Luhrman/Nicole Kidman Australian cattle ranch romantic film. I may instantly fall asleep while passing by the cd case when it comes out on video a couple weeks after its theater release.

Why read it!!!! Just Kidding!!! You're good!!! Just bringing out the Oscar hopefuls so people would get a chance to see it before award time. You mentioned the "Watchman" in an earlier post. I saw that trailer sometime ago. I'm looking forward to see it if I can get an early screening or on the release date. It looks great and I know it would be well written.
