Halloween III: Season of the Witch is my favorite sequel from the Halloween series. So many people hate it because Michael Myers is missing. I find myself revisiting this sequel every October.

That one is TOO DISTURBING. The graphic brutality mixed with the goofy 70's porno music is just so unsettling. And why couldn't they have just stopped with rape and murder??? Did they real have to do the thing with the entrails??!?!?!

Anyone ever see Carnival of Souls? (The 1962 one, not the 1998.)
The Sixth Sense owes a lot to this film.

It's really not bad on its own terms, but slapping "Halloween" on it doomed it. "Halloween" = Michael Myers. Don't mess with that. That's like having an Indiana Jones film without Indiana Jones.

I agree and it's also my favorite sequel of the series. It's a really good film with tons of creepy atmosphere. Lots of fun to watch and it's a shame many won't give it a chance because it's a Myerless installment (which was going to be the plan after Part II but they abandoned those plans and brought Myers back for IV).

Love Children of the Corn... great Halloween pick... I'm adding it to the list now! I'm sick of crappy remakes though

Another vote for the Phantasm series, one of the best ever. The last I saw was
Phantasm 3. I didn't know there was a
Phantasm 4! I just put it at the top of my queue

It's not scary but Monster Squad always gets me in the Halloween mood. I'm sure it has to do with my 80s upbringing.

Yes! In my house we celebrate the month of October by renting or watching horror movies.

I never liked or understood zombie movies.

I like Interview with The Vampire, Dracula (Francis Ford Copolla), Hellraiser series, videodrome, and the alien series. I also like campy horror.

Any movie suggestions ??
