Everything is overpriced in SF... especially since the theatres all smell like pee... I just wait and buy the DVD. It's cheaper, more comfortable and if I don't like the movie I can just donate it to the library

I just went tonight, $10.50 for me and $7.50 for each kid.

Other times and prices, I don't remember. This is the first time I've been to the movies on a Friday night in years, so I didn't even know how much it would be at this point. I think the theaters around here do a special on Tuesdays, where it is $5 or something.

Adult $7.00
Child $5.75
Matinee (All shows before 6pm) $5.75
Senior $6.00

One of my kids just went this afternoon with grandpa to see Twilight. I wait for them to come out on DVD though. Plus my snacks are better here and cheaper.

They are around 9.50 for an evening show in Charlotte, NC. I will tell you that I am glad plenty of people still buy popcorn, drinks, etc. The actual movie house makes most of its money from concessions. If everyone either just did without or brought it in with them like I do, they would have to raise the ticket prices.
