Has anybody seen this yet?
It doesn't premiere here until 17th and wanted to know if anyone had heard if it's any good?

I saw it when it opened in Ft. Collins and posted on here, although I posted it as "Burn BEFORE Reading". I thought it was great. I've been a Coen Brothers fan since "Blood Simple". They became pretty mainstream with "Fargo".

I really enjoyed it. The whole cast was great, but I thought Malkovich was outstanding in it -- a quintessential Coen Bros character played perfectly.

I found it utterly disappointing. A stellar cast and some wonderful performances ( Brad Pitt really did play his role marvellously) but I found the script lacklustre and lacking. It was not intricate or clever enough.

A fantastic performance from JK Simmons as usual in what amounted to a cameo role.
it looked very pretty and the acting was great but somehow for me it just did not gel.
I guess I expected a lot better, something a lot more witty and with a lot more "bite".
I left the cinema feeling rather dissatisfied and as though something major was missing.

IMO could have done a lot better. Not terrible but certainly not great either. I felt the scriptwriters and director had become complacent with a star cast and neglected to inject the script with verve and that little something extra.

I was left feeling that a small independent film company would have come up with a vastly superior product and handled with a lot more intelligence.

A real let down considering the budget and the stars.
