No but I've heard of it and I've been wanting to get my hands on it for a while now. Ditto for another Japanese movie "Audition". That's the one that even Rob Zombie had difficulty watching.

I have that movie too! As far as Battle Royale is concerned, your best bet is Netflix..It is very hard to find. Its such a good movie |

Battle Royale is an all time favorite. There was rumors of an American remake but was put aside from the college campus shootings from a few years back. They would have never captured the same atmosphere and the storyline would have been difficult to do the same exact storyline because of the violence (I'm guessing). I didn't mind the second Batte Royale but nowher near the awesomeness of the first.
Audition is really good too. One of the few Mike Takashi films I really enjoy.

Battle Royale has become one of my favorite films. I knew next to nothing about it when I first saw it so I was shocked beyond belief. In a good way though. Sadly the sequel was so bad I have never been able to finish it.
I have had Audition out on Netflix for weeks now but I just can't bring myself to watch it. I think I am still recovering from watchin Oldboy so maybe thats it.

My daughter owns both of these films and loves them both. Isn't Chiaki Kuriyama in the cast of Battle Royale(she was Oren Ish-ii's bodyguard in Kill Bill Vol I)?

If you have seen "suicide club" (which i have) You need to see "Norika's dinner table". It coincides with Suicide club |
