Good picks, y'all.
Desertgirl I especially appreciate yours: specifically Billy Crudup, Jeffrey Wright, Benicio del Toro and Clive Owen.
Did you see Clive Owen in Children of Men?
Astounding movie and swell performance.
I hope Jeffrey Wright gets some more good parts; I loved him in Angels in America and it gratified me to see him have a small part in Casino Royale.

My picks for overlooked actors would be Tom Selleck and Sam Elliott. I think both of these guys are excellent actors, especially in the western movies they've done, but I hear very little about them.

They probably like it that way, though, so I guess it's okay.

I thought both he and Reese Witherspoon did an excellent job in "Walk The Line." Considering that each of them sang the songs that their characters did, it was awe inspiring to me. I loved that movie, and both of the lead characters.

Children of Men has been on short wait on netflix. Glad to hear about his performance. Looking forward to watching it.

Over looked in no particular order:

Edward Norton
Eric Schwieg - watch Big Eden or Skins, a real eye opener
Graham Greene - Skins, if this wasn't an indi film he would have golden statues
Wes Studi
Irene Bedard

Daniel Day Lewis.

He spends YEARS preparing for different roles, and he is very picky about the roles he takes. He was amazing in Last of the Mohicans, and in Gangs of New York.

I wish I could see more of Eric Bana. He captured my heart as Hector in the movie Troy. He was also in the movie Munich. I know he has had some older Australian movies. I just love him and I hope to see him become more well-known.

While she is a great actress, I would have to go with Julia Roberts. I don't want to steal her thunder, but for the life of me, I just can't understand why she's the highest pair actress in Hollywood. I just don't "get" what she did to deserve this ranking.

Forgive my post, please. I am new here, and apparently new to reading as well. Somehow I thought the thread was about the most overrated celebrity, and not the most overlooked.

Maybe I can blame the blond hair dye?
