What are some of your most memorable scenes from movies that opened the floodgates?

Here are some of mine's:

The Crossing Guard. Not the greatest of movies but the ending scene when Jack Nicholson's character chases the man who killed his daughter years ago:

Schindler's List ending:

While it has a happy ending, the part at the end of Homeward Bound where the older son thinks Shadow (the old Golden Retriever & the animal with the closest bond to him) hasn't made it back with the others.

The Patriot, when Susan begs her father not to leave. Great movie and a very powerful scene.

A.I. I think that was the last good biggest and original box office/ blockbuster movie a person could ever make before the Twin Towers fell. David himself, was brilliant. In the latest Alien film, they kinda chewed out and mocked David.

Titanic when the mom held her kids in the bed below deck as the water filled the room.

Return to Me when the dog is waiting at the door for the woman of the house to come home.

Marley and Me, when Marley is put down.

Pay it Forward, when people gather outside the mother's house in honor of her son.

Schindlers List: When Oskar Schindler wept because he thought he didn't save enough people.
