The video for the Paul McCartney song, Pipes of Peace also depicts the Christmas truce of 1914.

I like the musical version of Scrooge, the one with Albert Finney. I end up singing Thank You Very Much for the next month.

Thumbs up Chase, Moore, Hawn, Barty and a host of other greats!

If you liked Planes, Trains, then go back to Foul Play circa 1978 and be prepared to LOL a lot! Chevy's first movie, and one of Goldie's and Dudley's best. Billy Barty also has a great cameo role as a dwarf Bible salesman.

That is a great movie. I haven't seen it in years, but it's well worth watching again.

WE watch all the ones listed. What kills me is that you start watching Lifetime or the other stations that are running Christmas movies and you get sucked into one after another. Some are really silly. Like the one where the lady goes through her dryer. I watched " This Christmas" was really good has Christ Brown in it. Rent it it is good

"A Little Princess" (1995 version, directed by Alfonso CuarĂ³n).
Incredibly beautiful photography and music - absolutely PERFECT for little girls. Not well known - nor very successful, but beloved by nearly everyone who views it. Just look at the viewer ratings on IMDB for this movie.

A Little Princess (1995)

"The Iron Giant" (1999): Not exactly a Christmas movie, but a GREAT family film nonetheless, with sophisticated story sure to please the adults as well.

The Iron Giant (1999)

Again, not well known, but take a look at viewer ratings. Truly a great movie.

Finally, I REALLY like Enchanted. Best Disney movie in a long time in my opinion.

Enchanted (2007)

Ken
