The Greatest Game Ever Played-
It's not that great of a movie, but my Dad recommended it to me. It caught me off guard when he brought it up and how vulnerable he sounded at the time. As I watched it I tried to watch from his perspective and what he was trying to tell me.

In 'The Muppets Take Manhattan' when the muppets try and sell their manuscript ('Manhattan Melodies') to a producer
...but it doesn't work and the gang has to all go their separate ways.

About 20 years ago, I watched a movie called "Dad" with Jack Lemmon, Ted Danson and Olympia Dukakis about a father's relationship with his adult son.

At the end of the movie, I was sniffling, dabbing at my eyes and stifling sobs in the protective darkness of the theatre. As a woman, I'm used to looking up and seeing other women sniffling too. In this case, however, there were men all around, hunched over and balling aloud and uncontrollably, shoulders heaving in paroxysms of crying. Most had wives or girlfriends with them patting their shoulders or rubbing their backs. You could tell that movie really struck a chord. I had never seen this much male emotion all at once. In that moment, I had a great deal of respect and empathy for all those strangers in that theatre.

I have never cried at the movies and can't understand how any guys would either! [/lie]

OK, fine, off-the-record, at a very young age, the Champion (1979) and as recent as Marley and Me (2008) and a few others in between had me in tears.

May be it was just my allergies so who knows?

Life after the Wife ain't so fun after all but at my age the ladies outnumber the men so the odds are lookin' good, LOL!

oh maybe you want my list of 7 movies made me cry. Memory ain't too god but i give it a shot off the top of my head.

"To Sir With Love" with Sydney Poitier, that one stuck a needle in my heart!

"Sophie's Choice" was so sad I can never see it again but it's a darn good movie

"Fiddler On The Roof" lord have mercy that one was a tear-jerker, the one with Topol playing the lead

Like you said, Dead Poets and Titanic, they gotta be on my list

Dang there must be a hundred more but I can't think of anything! Heck it's only 4:30 in the afternoon so I reckon maybe my brain will wake up in a few hours.
Hello Harvester!
I'd been posting about how great a movie "Fiddler on the Roof" was/is and didn't get any bites...then finally found this post. I still watch this movie from time to time and the effect on me is still as strong as the first time. This is a timeless family gem.

For the dog lovers..."Hachiko" is a movie based on a true story about the love between a dog and his master...watching it would make even the toughest guy shed a tear or two.

oh you HAVE to watch Hachi!! It is so good and based on the dog's story.

We even researched it on the web. The dog is beautiful and you just want to hug him.
