Need help on a movie title, please.
I've been looking for a movie I saw probably 10 or 15 years ago.
-Set in Australia, I think.
-end of the world, and everyone died (disappeared) due to some govt technology.
-only people who survived (1 woman, redhead, and 2 guys) were people who were in the process of dying when this govt project was activated.
Thanks
JF

Nope. that was a nuclear fallout type of end of world movie. This had some odd scientific experiment that killed everyone on the planet, except those that were actually dying when the experiment started. Most of the movie is about one guy, who thinks he's the only one left in the world, until he meets 2 others.

I don't know about Australia - maybe The World, The Flesh and The Devil? Harry Belafonte, Inger Stevens and Mel Ferrer are the only 3 people in the movie. Belafonte emerges from some disaster only to find the world is gone because of some nuclear-related event (can't remember what caused it) and forms a relationship with Stevens, the only other survivor, but then Ferrer shows up. Don't remember where it takes place.
How old is the movie?
I did some quick research and see there is a movie called Until The End of the World (1991) that ends in Australia. It has to do with some device someone invented and a nuclear satellite that has fallen to the earth and the end of civilization.

When I read the plot summary about the device someone invented, I thought it might be your movie. I think "End of The World" being in the actual title (something I never would have expected) was what helped find it.

Unfortunately, no to all of these. The Day After is "nuclear" and "until the end of the war" involves a nuclear satellite, and has William Hurt, etc.
This movie had no big name actors that I recognized, and involved some government technological device, that changed the dimension of the entire earth. The last shot, I think, showed 2 moons, and the 2 people that the main guy found, disappeared, leaving him as the last man on earth. Probably 15 or 20 years ago. Main guy was average, white, girl was a red head, and the other guy was black.

You're not thinking of "The Quiet Earth" by any chance?
