Have you ever visited the filming location(s) that you saw in a movie?

For myself several years back i was visiting tucson, arizona for the first time and so i went over to see where the 80's movie ''Can't Buy Me Love'' starring Patrick Dempsey was filmed at i.e. Tucson High school as that was kinda cool seeing the areas of the school and around tucson that i saw in the movie.

Does it count if you were IN the movie?

Do you remember "Once Bitten" with Jim Carrey and Lauren Hutton? There was a big, Halloween dance and I was one of the extras. Yo can see me in a short blue dress and l-o-o-o-o-o-n-g peach colored bows in my pigtails (and white stockings with my pumps - haha).

If you look closely, you'll see Lisa Presley's ex-husband, Danny Keough in a black and white pirate's costume.

That was shot in a school in Southern Cali - either Carson or Gardena.

Oh, and hey, rural lady.

I come from Oregon originally and when I saw, "The General" with Buster Keaton (and, no I decidedly WASN'T in that one I thought that it looked an awfully lot like Oregon. I actually said to myself that it looked like Cottage Grove or around there somewhere.

I was blown away to find out that that's exactly where they filmed it and, up until about a decade ago, there were still train parts left in that ravine where they blew up the train on the tressel in the film.

Many many many things have been filmed at Uni High in West L.A., which I attended for three years. I've also seen all sorts of places in L.A. that have been in films. I've watched the filming in some places, such as the scene in Get Shorty where Travolta and Russo are walking out of a movie theater. My favorite location is probably the firehouse used in Ghostbusters (downtown L.A.), which I visited to lay down some music tracks in the upstairs recording studio.

Didn't notice that either.

Once I was walking to work in New Orleans, and I had to go around the block because they were filming an episode of "Bourbon Street Beat".

I work at an historic house which featured a fair bit in The Young Victoria which has been just released in Europe.

The house has been used for a number of historic films, the previous one being Pride and Prejudice- the version with Keira Knightley.

Some scenes in a movie were shot at my elementary school (LONG time ago) and they used us kids as extras and crowd fillers. I can still watch it and see all of my childhood friends streaming out when the bell went and hear a little voice calling for my sister.
Kinda cool way to relive a moment in my childhood.
