The Shining! Bad a** movie. Read all of King. Jack Nicholson-one of my faves. A lot of times I don't like the movie versions of books I've read. Exceptions-To Kill a Mockingbird, Bram Stoker's Dracula, as well as, Interview With a Vampire, I even liked Jaws.

Some Like It Hot is a classic. I can't believe how many "younger" people haven't seen it. IIRC a couple of years ago it was ranked #1 comedy by AFI.

M*A*S*H is great.
Raising Arizona is in my top 10 comedies.

Ace Ventura I & II, The Mask, Liar Liar, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Rock, The Mummy Returns (mainly the music, not much the actual film), Godzilla, MORTAL KOMBAT I & II, and Spiderman I & III. Basically anything with Jim Carrey or Nicolas Cage.

I miss Flubber and Ice Age.
