Default Night at the Museum II - 2009

Another disappointment! I know the critics gave this movie B rating (I think), but the movie was really baaad!! No story, just some stupid dialogues that weren't funny and didn't make sense. I usually loved Hank Azaria and found him hilarious, but boy was he silly in this movie.

The first part itself disappointed me big time.

I don't like trivialization of history.

The Octavius character made me insanely angry

I chose to see it becoz I like Stiller's antics.

Yeah.. I haven't seen it yet (I am waiting until it comes out to video), but my sister saw it and said it was just "okay".

Thank God, No! That man's my role model I'd have sobbed like a little boy.

There's a roman legion like tin soldiers and they have a commander. His name's Octavius. He's in all Roman splendour - toga and helmet, and even gives the imperial chest salute quite often.

They don't delve into the details of this legion though. It's just a display army.

The principal sacrilegious stuff - chief one being the trivialization of Theodore Roosevelt, caricature of Ghenghis Khan (even John Wayne would be shamed); and the silliest one is that a mummy claims to have learnt English in Britain (Hysteric!)

There are a lot more.

I'll still see part two for Stiller

when I saw the preview I kinda thought "whats the point" \ I'm so done with sequels, trilogies, prequels, spin-off's, adaptions - where the hell are the original ideas! That being said I watched the first one of FX tonight and will probably watch this one when it becomes available on the Demand channels

This had the special effects of the movie Jumanji, and to see the amazing footage must be on the big screen. As far as the historical accuracy, you guys do know this is fiction, right?

I've heard many negative reviews about this movie. Because of this, I was afraid to take my 8 and 9 year old to watch it. I am glad we saw it. I enjoyed the movie. My kids laughed through most of it. I'd give it 3 stars.

I was pretty disapppointed. I liked Owen Wilson's character in the first one and he didn't seem to be in it as much.
