I couldn't sleep, so I took in tonight's DIE SPY movie,
The Killer Elite (1975) - IMDb

You know those times when the movie you watch is great to you but everyone else rakes it over the coals? Well, this movie seems to be rated historically great but to me, at best, it seemed like something with great photography, wonderful locations, a heck of a cast, but terrible acting and throw backs to other movies.

It seemed like 30 minutes were dedicated to Caan's recovery as if he was in some football movie and not a spy flick.

I've seen worse "spy" flicks like "McBain" but better ones, too, even the rather dry The Sell-Out (1976) - IMDb was a much better spy flick than this one.

Walking Out. It wasn't bad but could be better.

Like Father, Like Son. A Japanese movie about a hospital mix-up. Very human.

That's a Kore-eda Hirokazu film. All of his films are good.

Downsizing with Matt Damon. I give it a solid "C-". It was a flop in the cinemas though.
