Default One New Movie and One Old Reliable

Maleficent: Pretty good but not one of the best movies I saw this year. I will need to watch this again.

Airplane: VERY great comedy.

Just rewatched it for the second time, and starting the third run. The soundtrack has some great songs; Redbone, 10cc, The Jackson 5, Blue Swede, Rupert Holmes, Marvin Gaye, Elvin Bishop, etc. Currently ranked #22 for 2014, but that could change.

Non-Stop: 7.8/10. Enjoyed the movie.

Gardian of the Galaxy: 7/10. OK movie.

The Raid 2: 8/10. Good action movie. No where as action pact and entertaining as the first one.

Newest Hobbit movie. I didn't like it as much as the last two. It was just a long, drawn out battle.

Gravity...what an embarrassing movie.
No story what so ever, just 1 set back after the other until the painful movie was over.

Enchanted I love the ironic nature of this modern Disney fairy tale dumped on its head in the real world.

Big Eyes (2014). Stars Amy Adams, Christopher Waltz, Terence Stamp, and Jason Schwartzman. Based on a true story, Big Eyes is directed by Tim Burton, and his influence truly stands out in a couple of scenes. The story opens with Amy's character in a frenzy driving off with her little daughter in a picturesque setting, a scene which will be echoed later in the film with a completely opposite feel to it. There's a slowly building suspense with Danny Huston's narration (Anjelica Huston's brother) that you know and see and can easily anticipate - and while you may be taken in by a certain individual character, they soon show their true colors and your sympathies shift. He states in the beginning that Amy Adam's character is doing something before it become fashionable. The many aspects of the latter coming into play in this fascinating story that fills in many blanks if you weren't fully aware of it's happening.

7.8 / 10
