For film noir lovers... 'Out of the Past' ....never gets old even after many viewings. The dialogue and characters are so sharp. You'll come away with a new line in your head...'Build my gallows high baby!' That's what you get hang in' 'round some femme fatales.

"Madding", not "Maddening".

Saw "A Walk in the Woods" on Monday.

You should see it, too.

If you have insomnia.

Halloween Resurrection 2002

I have been re-visiting the Halloween franchise because I am currently listening to The Horror Movie Podcast (With Jay of the Dead) and a while back they did some episodes where they reviewed the movies. It's interesting to hear how other people see these films and to learn things about these movies that I did not know.

I highly recommend The Horror Movie Podcast. Currently they are reviewing the Scream Franchise (and the lame attempt by MTV to make a tv series based off the movies). These guys are fun to listen to.

"The Den" Thanks to Netflix. It only had 1.5 stars but it wasn't bad. A young woman gets a grant to go online for a sociology project and the characters that respond are funny but the laughs end when she sees someone gets murdered and then her friends start disappearing and she gets odd clues.

It was an interesting approach to a horror/slasher movie.
