Harsh Times with Christian Bale and Freddy Rodriguez (2006)

4 stars. Story was a bit floppy but the leads were magnetic.

The Road Within with Kyra Sedgwick, Robert Patrick and Dev Patel. Best independent movie I've seen on Netflix in a while. Both hilarious and touching at the same time, if you can stomach the foul language associated with Tourette's Syndrome. Glad I found this one.

Tonight we watched "The General" a silent film from 1929 featuring Buster Keaton. On the TCM channel.

Cool movie. Filmed out of Cottage Grove, OR. Large mural dedicated to BK in old town CG. The restaurant named in his honor, Buster's, has an awesome menu and limited seating. Always a popular destination. Check out Buster's bottle shop next door while you're there. They have an extensive line of craft soda, as well as a decent selection of craft brews. I frequent both places, as they are just 9 miles south of my home.
