Elysium (2013) starring Matt Damon, Jodie Foster and Alice Braga
Set in 2154, Earth has become a rundown and dilapidated slum, and people of wealth and means live in a giant orbiting space station called Elysium that is a paradise. Advanced medical treatment is unavailable on earth, but is quick and easy on Elysium, prompting Damon, with the help of others, to attempt to overturn the New World Order. Foster is also looking to overturn the order, but as one of its leaders, she is seeking to become THE leader.
I thought it was a good movie, but I enjoy those types of futuristic thrillers.
I had looked for the movie on Redbox and at a local store and didn't find it. Ironically, I ended up getting the movie at the library.
"Reign on me" 2007 with Don Cheadle and Adam Sandler. Although, not much of a fan of Sandler, he was good. The movie was sad, touching and funny.
