Spoon-fed plot points, story that has not where to go but from a to b, unrealistic water cgi - just take a look at this, and Ron Howard's In the Heart of the Sea. Predictable ending. Half a star rounds up to one (1) out of five (5).
The Station Agent - one of those slow quiet movies where not a lot happens. Not even much dialog. You watch Peter Dinklage walk a lot A story of disparate out of phase people connecting. I really enjoyed it, maybe mostly because the cast was wonderful and really did a good job.
98% on RT with 81% (I think I looked it up last night) audience. Thats high so I'm not the only one.
My Old Lady - another small personal drama type movie with great actors. Interesting concept "viager". The French version of a reverse mortgage? Only between people not banks. I liked it well enough.

I enjoyed the station agent. It was nice to see a movie that was not violent.
We saw "The Finest Hours" the other day. Holy cow, it was a good movie. I actually liked when the movie 'slowed down' to dwell on the 'woman left behind' nonsense, since it gave one a bit of a break from the suspense.
