Wizards (1977) - IMDb

An old favorite. Got home from a day of dancing, didn't want to get involved with a movie I didn't know, so just sat back and enjoyed this one.............................and it was nice to feel again not being in an Internet age.

The Revenant.

I am not a Leo fan at all, but the guy outdid himself with this one. It almost made me forget Richard Harris and his outstanding performance.

The Haunting of Cell Block 3.

This started out as a really interesting movie. The acting wasn't half bad and I was genuinely interested, but then it just went from interesting to stupid. The ending was quite ridiculous. Even the acting, which started out okay went downhill. The movie starts off with a serious tone and then it was like they said "Nope this should be a comedy". Yeah it was bad.

"Shadowlands", on YouTube with Portuguese subtitles. I'd seen it on the big screen originally, but had forgotten many of its subtleties. It's a very beautiful and moving account of C.S. Lewis's late-life marriage to the love of his life, American poet Joy Davidman Gresham, and the tragedy which beset them shortly after they wed.

It resonated strongly with me just now, as I have good friends in a parallel situation...
