"Sophomoric and Stupified" is very profitable.
And, given the state of the American General Public, there will always a huge market for it.

Will Ferrell has the same stupid facial expression in all of his stupid "comedy" movies. HE usually is the flop, not the movie as much!
I'd prefer to go see a Jim Carrey movie if I want real comedy!

Elf was GREAT. Its going to be a Christmas classic we can count on seeing every year just like "A Christmas Story".
I really liked Ferrell in:
Elf
Legend Of Ricky Bobby
Old School
But thats about it that I can think of.

When did he ever do good work? In all of these years, I havn't seen anything good by Will Ferrell, except maybe his GWB post 911 speech.

I have never understood Will Ferrell's appeal. I just don't get it. He can recite lines, but that doesn't make one an actor. I don't find him funny in the least. I didn't like him on SNL, I'm embarrassed for him every time he shows up on a talk show (has he no shame at all?) and haven't liked him in any of the movies I've watched. Or, I should say "tried" to watch. I haven't been able to get more than 30 minutes in before turning them off.
The only one which I found marginally interesting was Stranger Than Fiction. It was semi-serious and he wasn't able to do as much mugging for the camera. Still, the only reason I could stomach him in that movie was because I found the premise interesting. If I wanted to see how it ended, I was forced to tolerate him and his *couch*acting*cough*.
King of flops? Sounds about right to me.
