just surprised that of all the movies that people posted on here they enjoy(and I find most of them to be trivial, stupid, mindless, inane and a waste of film) that you would bother posting about MY choice. I don't bother commenting on why anyone likes what they prefer

I netflixed The Reader over the weekend. I adore Kate Winslet to begin with, and she didn't disappoint. The story was interesting, not what I expected at all. Ralph Fiennes was quiet good. Not a happy happy movie - I cried a bit at the end. 3 out of 5

I saw Seven Pounds recently and I didn't like it. I thought it dragged on and on. I usually like Will Smith but not this time. What he chose to do at the end of the movie was sweet but it didn't matter because the rest of the movie was so blah.

Last Saturday we watched "The Other Boleyn Girl" and "Baby Mama".

Basically I just wanted to know if the book was made into a good movie but it wasn't so. Hmm, should have known...
The other movie was quite funny.

Sex Drive

Decent movie. Not as funny as some people told me it would be but not a complete waste of time.

Default The Man from Elysian Fields (2001)

How did I miss this film gem? A compelling story brought to life by great actors and excellent cinematography. A desperate writer is drawn into the escort service world in an attempt to support his family. Andy Garcia, Mick Jagger, Julianna Margulies, Olivia Williams, James Coburn. With style and wit

Mondays in the Sun - Spanish flick with Javier Bardem. Good movie about men losing their jobs and how it affects everything in their lives. Bardem, as usual, changes himself into a completely different person.

I rented The Knowing. It was pretty good - the soundtrack was creepy though. It seemed like it should have been on a horror movie instead of a science fiction/biblical movie.
