He's just not that into you, Bride Wars. Neither was great - I laughed a few times probably won't watch them again.

I netflixed Go (1999) with Katie Holmes, Sarah Polley, Timothy Olyphant (hot). It's such a good movie - kind of Pulp Fictionesque where the characters are crossing paths and jumping around on different timelines during this one night of out of control partying. 4 out of 5

Default The Good Shepherd (2006)

I watched The Good Shepherd last night and was glad I finally had the time to devote to this two and one half hour examination of the development of the the modern CIA from its beginning in WWII through the Bay of Pigs to the agency in Langley VA. The story is told through one fictional character's induction and involvement in the world of spycraft. A thinking person's drama, it requires a lot of attention to detail, indeed director De Niro is either praised or damned for his insistence for accurate detail in the many reviews of this movie. A good film in the tradition of John Le Carre

Default Once Upon a Time in America (1984)

This is what some would call an epic because it covers about 50 years in the lives of four gangsters who grew up together in New York City in a film that is 5 1/2 hours long. The story is told in a series of flashbacks that cover three eras, the 1920's when the gang is formed, 1933 when the end of Prohibition changes the lives of the characters and 1968 when the surviving member of the group returns to the city he had left decades before. He revisits and finally understands what had been mysteries. The flashbacks and episodes flow together smoothly and never leave the viewer lost in the story. This is director Sergio Leone's last film and it is a compelling masterpiece. 2 DVD's 335 minutes, this Netflix version is the magnificent original "cut"

Watched The Hitcher or something like that...it wasn't very good. I mean it was gory - especially the scene where the boy is ripped in half by the trucks but overall it was predictable and boring. Like a cross between Jason and Joy Ride.

How the hell did one man with one knife kill all of those people, especially police officers?

Default Knowing and Brothers War

I rented 2 movies this past weekend. Brothers War and Knowing starring Nicholas Cage. Knowing was very interesting and worth watching. Brothers War was probably the worst movie ever made. I paid a 1.07 at the Redbox to rent it and I felt I was ripped off.

Watched Watchmen directors cut. Not much difference except they seems to take out Dr Manhattans junk hanging on screen.
