Did anyone see this movie staring Sandra Bullock? I saw it about a week ago and I thought it was a great date movie. This movie is a typical romantic comedy where the woman gets her man or the boy gets the girl in the end. This movie is predictable, but cute. It was light hearted and moderately funny. Sandra no longer looks like the young girl from next door, but she looks very good for her age and is very sweet even though the script initially portrays her as an evil witch. I would say this is a chick flick, however the theater was full of guys and my teenage son says he wants to see it again. Maybe Sandra looks younger than I thought.... Betty White still has it too. I think this movie is worth seeing especially if you like romance and happy endings. If you have seen it tell me what you think
It was a wonderful summer romance flick. And I agree, technically it is a feel-good chick flick but there were a lot of guys in the audience who seemed very entertained.
The scenery was gorgeous--and so were Bullock and her leading man.
Loved the moment in the woods with Gammy's tribal fire.
The Proposal is a romantic comedy drama directed by Anne Fletcher .In this movie ,the boy plays with the girl and marry with her.after that they start actually falling in love .this is very interesting movie.
My husband and I were at a hotel and wanted to rent Wolverine, but there was something wrong with the feed, so we resorted to The Proposal. I don't normally watch/enjoy chick flicks, but this one cracked me up! It didn't hurt that Ryan Reynolds was in it.
I thought it was crap, and this is coming from a huge SB fan. Reynolds looked young enough to be her son, and I never sensed a shred of chemistry between them. The script was insultingly predictable and contrived. I managed a chuckle at the Betty White/SB campfire dance scene, but aside from that I found this flick boring and very run of the mill. Looks like I'm definitely in the minority, though.
Of course it was predictable.
On a hot summer's day, sometimes that is all I need or want with my popcorn.
It reminded me a lot of Depardieu's Green Card.
