Well it seems money is more important to the author of that great book then her actual message as it seems to me she sold out to Hollywood as the whole ending was changed to a very Hollywoood predictable ending.

I wish I could remember what book I read by William Goldman about how big name actors screw up movies by demanding their characters be "better people/different people" than what the story/script calls for. I specifically remember one big example he used - The movie The Ghost and The Darkness (starred Michael Douglas and Val Kilmer).

You'd be appalled.
