I'm guessing people would hate Danny Glover for his conspicuous asskissing of America-hating dictators, Chuck Norris for his political activism, and Ben Stiller not personally but because his comedic style is love-it-or-hate-it. No idea about Renee Zellwiger and Al Pacino; maybe people also "hate" their acting style too, versus hating them personally.
