I just hope it doesn't hype itself up too much with all this viral marketing and disappoint come opening night. Cloverfield did just that for many of us. D-9.com is pretty cool, though. I checked that out myself after I saw the trailer. The idea is definitely awesome...let's hope they deliver!

I agree with you Cloverfield was horrible.
Also the way Hollywood is showing great trailers nowadays it's hard not to be curious about upcoming films.
It looks really interesting. The viral marketing has potential, but has really started lacking leading up to the movie. Then again, Cloverfield had great viral marketing and the movie was "meh". Here's the link to the original short movie.

Yes, especially if you watch Alive in Joburg. This seems to be a more gritty take on what it would be like and the prejudice that comes with it; living in shantytowns, no running water or electricity, etc.
