Yesterday, it was Harold Lloyd all day!!! I still love watching Safety Last ... what a true feat of daring it was to make that film!!

That was great - I had to stay up late and watch Feet First (1930) similar derring-do (I'm afraid of heights and was freaking out) but it was hilarious - great physical comedy plus great writing.

I found this looking for a clip - fascinating - shows the building he was climbing in Feet First then and now.

Did anyone watch this last night:

Trouble in Paradise (1932)

I was getting it confused with another movie --can't think of the title of that one but it seemed it was a year or two earlier and had the 'thief' theme with an all-star cast.

Great stars and dialogue in this one but I was fascinated with the Art Deco clock between Herbert Marshall and Kay Francis' bedrooms...

Default TCM... Nothing like it!

I LOVE TCM! Best stuff on TV. I find myself recording them to my DVD recorder to watch later, and keep all the best ones. Rarely do I record over a disc! I keep it!! Even the bad ones....

I particularly love most movies made between 1936 and 1955. These are the best!

TCM has been showing "The Essentials" on Sunday nights at 8. Last night was Gaslight with Ingrid Bergman and Charles Boyer. Really good stuff.

Did anyone see 5 Fingers (1952) with James Mason the other night?

I saw that movie years ago and never got it out of my head, though I could not remember the title.

Mason was just about as suave as he could get and you root for him, even knowing that he's turning over secrets to the Nazis!

Did anyone catch the William Castle films last night?

I had never seen this one:

Mr. Sardonicus (1961)

"Please! Not the leeches again!"

"What have you DONE to her?" "Nothing. YET"
