Default Seth Rogen to play The Green Hornet.....?

He's lost a lot of weight and all but.....all he's ever done is one character in like 4 different movies and they were all nerds.
So that success gets parlayed into being a Comic Book Hero with the coolest badass car ever? (Check out some of the pictures of Black Beauty).
I just don't think he's going to measure up to the car much less the character.
Someone at work say they heard he was mad at being dissed on last weeks episode of Entourage.

From everything I've read about this movie, it's going to be VERY tongue-in-cheek. They wanted Steven Chow as Kato, but he passed.

I'm guessing that in tone it's going to be a lot more like THE TICK than THE DARK KNIGHT.

Depending on how it is done, this movie might be OK even with Seth in it. I think it will be a mistake to make it too tongue-in-cheek. It will turn out as bas as Land of the Lost.

Yeah, Seth is so...dorky. I hate that laugh of his. I simply cannot fathom this!

GH needs to be suave.

If they went comic book, he needs to be a real swinger with that classic 1950's Dick Tracy meets Bruce Wayne kind of look. If they do it TV style, they need to find something similar, and get a really cool guy for Kato...

If it is a spoof? You need to have a REALLY good spoof to put him up as the GH.

I mean I get it. Most people want to grow up a little, get out of typecasting, start to be "real" actors etc.
But it would seem that you would take smaller roles to sort of move your way over then up. Not go from Judd Apatow's fav nerdy guy to GH. Seems a lttle unfair to a lot of other aspiring talent out there.
If he auditioned against a bunch of other canidates great. But sometimes if your a big enough name or hot enough you don't have to, and I'm not sure he meets that criteria anyway.

That's not how Hollywood works. It's know what you know. It's who you know. For that matter, the rest of the world pretty much works the same way. Rogen is a "bankable" name right now, and the bank is all the studio really cares about.
