I have not seen a horror movie in years. I think the last one I saw was the Ring/Grudge whichever came out last. All the horror movies look alike now days judging from the commercials. Which are actually good?

Haunting In Connecticut was pretty good. Not exactly anything we haven't seen before, but supposedly based on a true story.

I recently saw Drag me to Hell. Was pretty lame as far as horror goes but it was pretty funny and grotesque.

I thought Haunting in Ct was pretty bad and not scary at all. Its "based" on a true story yes but as usual the real story is not much like the movie itself. Also most people agree the family lied about pretty much everything except where they lived.

I like most of the final destination movies.

Gotta differ with you on that one. I think Drag Me To Hell was one of the best scary movies I've seen in a long time. Sam Raimi knows how to do it. A possessed goat; c'mon, that was excellent!

As far as horror movies go, i think horror movies should scare a person. To me this was a scary/comedy. I enjoyed the movie but not for the horror aspect. It was more funny than anything. How many times does that old puke in the girls mouth

Ewwww, that really was disgusting. The goat was comically bad, but it was still a bit unnerving. Talking animals instill in me the "willies".

Descent (2005) was pretty good, chalk full of intense scenes.
A horror from Spain that was uber-scary called [REC] (2007) - must listen to Spanish and read English subtitles to get the full effect.
Let the Right One In (2008) a Swedish vampire horror - same thing about subtitles.

They're out there - but far and in between.

I don't remember the last time a movie scared me.

Except for the naked wrestling in Borat. That downright scarred me.

Drag me to hell was a great movie. I had a few flaws here and there, mostly with issues regarding silliness. Other than that check it out!

Descent was good.

High Tension was really scary.
