You bet! It looks like good silly fun with lots of over-the-top gratuitous violence which is exactly what I need after a lousy week

Default Inglourious Basterds

I saw this movie last night and came out very pleased. It's a great movie with a lot of the typical details you'd find in a Tarantino film. Awesome tension building dialogue, great characters (on both sides) and a pleasing ending. The best character is Colonel Hans Landa played by Christoph Waltz, who manages to infuse his character with such an intimidating and intelligent presence.

Look forward to seeing Inglorious Basterds. Plan on going sometime this weekend or next. One of our local theaters is screening some older Tarantino films to celebrate. Last night I went to see Reservoir Dogs. As a director, Tarantino has never let me down.

I saw it last night! It was a great movie, typical Tarantino (never a bad thing) and great acting all around. For those complaining about the butchering of a WW2 setting, the film starts with "Once upon a time..." which is a plot device intended to inform the audience of a fictional setting.

I'll be seeing it this morning since the cinemas open at 9am in Paris (some of them, anyway).

Yeah, best around at collecting $20 million/film even though he is a terrible, terrible actor. Maybe Brad Pitt is a good "star", but he can't act to save his life!

I actually wanted to see IB until I saw a clip featuring Brad Pitt and Eli Roth wherein old Brad seems to be reprising his "dumb American boy from the South tries acting for the first time" performance from Jesse James and Coward Robert Ford.

Uhhh, probably gonna pass on another watch Brad Pitt torture session!
