What are your opinions on "District 9"?

I loved the movie. The designs of the aliens were very detailed, the alien language was fascinating to listen to, and the action sequences were awesome. The technology and weaponry of the aliens was far superior to the technology and weaponry of the humans! It would really suck to get shot by one of their guns! I did not expect the commentary but it did not bother me so much that I could not enjoy the movie.

Saw it. Excellent. Couldn't understand them very well so it was good that the other 2 people I watched it with could let me know what they thought was said/going on. I'd see it again.

My opinion is there is a trend of making movies so dark that you can't see what's going on and this movie is one of them.

I didn't really pay attention to the action sequences or the weaponry design. I found the film to be an excellent social commentary on human misery, exploitation, and the way we treat one another.
