Dumb And Dumber with Jim Carrey / Jeff Daniels
I am interested in all comparisons...
Dumb and Dumber, I thought the laughs came most frequently although all three of the movies are really good
This is a fun question you asked OP, and for me it's hard to put Happy Gilmore up there with the other movies simply because it doesn't feature a "comedy duo" like the others. Jim Carey/Jeff Daniels are masterful working together in this movie and it's pure comedic genius in my opinion. Spade/Farley were perfect because they were the complete opposites but again their chemistry was awesome. Sandler was just doing his usual Sandler thing in Happy Gilmore... but it was one of his few comedy's that he didn't need to try and use foul-mouthed and dirty jokes and horrible toilet humor... and as a golfer and a fan of the game myself it was completely hilarious to watch how the game was butchered in such an unrealistic but hilarious way!
Another thing too, Dumb and Dumber was an immediate box office hit and has maintained its popularity throughout the years. Whereas Tommy Boy and Happy Gilmore (although didn't fail at the box office) needed some time to eventually become Cult Classics and widely popular and well-known amongst the masses!
