People-Please No Spoilers!!!!
Due to the recent wave of ruined endings, I thought I'd send out a friendly reminder to please don't post spoilers in your threads. Others have expressed this as well, there are ways to "discuss" a movie without giving away any secrets or endings. If you must reveal something, please place a large SPOILER ALERT warning in your title, or at least the very first line of your thread so we can determine if we want to read further.
Thanks!! (an avid movie fan!)

Are we talking about movies in the theaters or on DVD? Because there's a big difference talking about a movie that not everyone has had a chance to see yet, and one that's been out for 10 or 20 years. If you don't know what Rosebud is, it's not really up to the rest of the world to protect your innocence.

Rule #3 - There are no Spoliers.
BTW, shouldn't we look to try to get a tag for spoilers? Like quote brackets? There are ones easily available that either make the text black on black (you can only see what is written by hilighting it) or with a tag that keeps it hidden until you click on it.
I STRONGLY suggest that the boards managers/caretakers/admins take a look at this option as it would be easier for people to TALK about movies, and very easy for a mod to come in and hide the stuff w/o deleting it if someone slips up.....
Rule #4 - NO POOFDAHS!!!!

I'm pretty much talking about new, just released, or soon-to-be-released films. Even some DVDs not everyone has seen, I just think if you're going to reveal an ending or secret about any movie, an alert would be cool.

good idea. even the website imdb has a special paragraph that warns about spoilers, so you can simply skip over that part and still read about the film.

I've requested the Spoiler Tag before and they suggested white text.

Perhaps there can be a special thread just for this? and people can post and thread about their movie endings all day long.

The key is not to separate things like that, but to make it easy to either do right in the first place, or correct at a moments notice.
Some people deliberately post spoilers, but others either forget or are just plain inconsiderate/don't really know better (not MEAN....).
So you COULD have a separate topic, forum subsection, whatever you wanted, and you will still get people posting spoilers in the regular movie section.
Hell, You will get them posting in the NJ section!!!
If someone keeps clogging the toilet, you don't tell them to start using a different toilet, you try and fix the one that keeps getting clogged.... Maybe I should not have used that analogy. I am sure it can be easily abused and we would all end up in deep...........porcelin!
