I gotta say "The Color Purple". The scene where Celie finally stands up to Mister at the dinner table, after years of abuse, is so powerfull.

An inspirational movie that comes to mind is "The Straight Story". This one's about determination, perseverance, and the importance of family.

If you want to find out more: The Straight Story (1999)

One of my favorite nonfiction authors is Mitch Albom, and two movies that were inspired by his books...

*The Five People You Meet In Heaven--reminds us of what really matters while here on earth.*

*Tuesdays with Morrie--BIG lessons on life*

A favorite director of mine is Tim Burton...usually known for his quirky movies

*Big Fish--about a father and son reconciliation...a total heart warmer*
