I think you forgot a few things - you should post the entire script next time... yes, that's sarcasm!

Texas Chain Saw Massacrer is a classic, but with today's effects looks funnier than scary, I recommended it though

'night, Mother, with Sissy Spacek.

'night, Mother (1986)

She spends the evening with her Mother discussing how she will be killing herself and why. I had an Aunt who committed suicide but never knew why. Disturbing yet interesting movie.

OMG yes! i remember having a heck of a time finding it on DVD!!!! It's one of the best cop movies ever made and the soundtrack is classic!

Not sure what is exactly meant by obscure ... Donnie Darko was pretty obscure and it's in my top 5 of all time.

I think the idea is movies few people have seen or even heard of "Donnie Darko" has such a large cult following, most people have at least heard about it. This is a great thread, it's giving me ideas for movies to check out

Believe (2005)

It's a mockumentary on a fictional Multi-Level-Marketing company called "Believe Industries" (think Amway).

It is very funny and for anyone who has had the misfortune of being in an MLM (yup, I have) - it is spot on and hysterical!

Also "Free Enterprise" with William Shatner is really funny, too!
