LOL, there was that one part in the original trailer & I was talking right along w/ it "...& fullfill your destiny"!!!! Oh, I do love that movie....& I the the Cracken, or however it's spelled. Well, I guess I will watch the new one & it'll be filled w/all sorts of awesome CGI's but my heart is w/the original always.
It was really good, But I kept laughing at Liam Neesons silver Gene Simmons-esque boots. And then when he uttered the famous line it was too funny. Sorry Liam, When you find me-And you will with your skills please go easy on me. : )
Re: ' It was the talent of the writer, director, and actors that made you fall into their world of make believe '
For sure. In a way I am glad that fantasy films do get made though I am partial to some originals particularly by Mr. Harryhausen, a cinematic genius. Jason and the Argonauts is a keeper! It's great that most of his works still are bouncing around today in film watchers heads bringing up different 'worlds' to keep them exploring into.
And as far as a remake in fantasy films it should be time to do '300' over.it needs a 'realistic' take which would make it a more powerful message I think. And there are plenty of directors who could do that story again with another cinematic view. They know who they are. Ridley Scott where are you????..;-(...
