then this love story began about his wife still loving him and he can't get to her. really stupid movie. and NO, the aliens weren't as scary as predator was.
|
I thought you were going to say the love story was between Wikus and the alien. The thing is that the aliens weren't supposed to be scary; they were helpless, misunderstood, and being oppressed by people. If people had tried to work with the prawns from the start, rather than abusing them, they could have repaired their own craft and left years ago.

That's exactly the sequel I'm hoping for!

Saw this in the theater on opening day, and I bought the BluRay. I think this is an amazing movie with a very good underlying theme.
Looking forward to the sequel.

I thought this movie was great (and the website is loads of fun to play around with). I guess I really liked the political parallel and I appreciate films that aren't afraid to show us how rotten human beings are. If viewing this film causes a high school student somewhere to research apartheid it will have done a service.

maybe I didn't see the same movie you guys saw, maybe I need to see it again because it had a decent story now that I know what it was, but overall it was a snore.
