Definitely Forrest Gump. I came out of that movie feeling like I was walking on air. I think the storyline of a guy who was intellectually limited but acheived so much in his life made me feel like I better get off my butt and start living mine; that there was nothing I couldn't do if I didn't set my mind to it.
Rudy- gave me hope
Malcolm X- gave me pride
E.T.- gave me wonder
The Adventures of Baron Munchausen- gave me a sense of adventure
Steel Magnolias- gave me the ok to cry after my father's death
Shane- gave me the belief that there are good people in the world
The Pursuit of Happyness, with Will Smith, is a fantastic film. It chronicals the rela life story of Chris Gardner, who went from homelessness to wall street success, due to his persistant optimism and hope. Its heart wrenching in some scenes. Just a great film to remind anyone of what the human spirit is capable of.
A Few Good Men came out when I was 14 or 15, and was one of the motivating factors in getting me interested in legal study, and courtroom litigation. Sadly, I am now a tax lawyer.
Fight Club - made me realize what I need and don't need, makes me never want to become a "consumer"
Forrest Gump - favorite movie of all time, he was so innocent and accomplished so much, its inspirational
Into The Wild - similar to fight clubs impression on me, makes me search for the guts to do something like that
