My favorite was Julie and Julia. I grew up watching Julia Child cook and just loved her. Meryl absolutely nailed that performance. It is such a warm and cozy movie, and one one of the few I plan to see again.
I just smiled during the entire movie.

I did not like Avatar - biggest dissapointment of the year. Also Blind Side was so annoying

I see the thread title was asking for favorite movie - I don't know, the best time I had all year at the movies was when I saw Hangover. I think Hurt Locker was the best movie of the year. But if someone stuck a gun to my head and made me pick my favorite movie I would pick Up in the Air

What did you like about it? I like George, but I thought that movie was kind of slow, depressing and sad in an empty way. It seemed to showcase the shallowness of people. |

You are not the first person that told me they thought it was kind of slow. I was just thoroughly entertained for 2 hours, and just had a great feeling the whole time. Not depressing at all. great acting, exc ellent writing, very topical - I thought it was very true. |
