I remember a horror movie that I used to watch at least once month as a kid that was so bad it was funny. It was called "Motel Hell". Does anyone else have
"so bad it's funny horror movies they watch/watched"? BTW I haven't watched "Motel Hell" since I was 14 or so will probably show it at my 40th and wonder what the heck was I thinking.
I thought the first two Friday 13th movies were interesting but all the sequels were just so bad I had to laugh.
Why would these stupid people keep going back to that camp? Somewhere around the 6th sequel they should have seen it on the news.
I wasn't sure if anyone besides me and my friends ever sat through Motel Hell! I agree about the 3-200?? sequels to Friday the 13th. Same goes with the Nightmare on Elm Street (about to be remade) after the 2nd one it just blended together in a fog of "which one are they on now?" Another one that killed me is the Leprechan one where he goes to the ghetto? I am positve it was made as a joke.
The only reason I ever watched Motel Hell was because of Rory Calhoun. I grew up in the 50's and 60's and remembered him from television and couldn't believe he was in such a bad movie. It was on about a year ago and we watched it again.
The new Nightmare is a remake with Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy. The original was scary enough for me and I wonder how he will fare. Englund will always be Freddy to me. I pulled for him in the memorable "Jason v. Freddy"!
Don't remember the Leprechan in the ghetto one. How could I have missed it! We watch a lot of Syfy and if you ever want to see movies that will make you laugh and shake your head, that's the place to watch. Mindless entertainment when nothing good is on TV on Saturdays. But most are just soooo bad they're good.
"The Mad Doctor of Blood Island" was about this mad doctor who created this creature out of radioactive material who the villagers thought was a demon and the only way to appease it was to offer a virgin for it to rape and tear limb from limb. The only kinda scary part was when they sacrificed a goat and pig by hacking them to death with a machete, but they didn't use special effects, they really hacked to death a live goat and pig on camera.
Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness. Pretty much anything with Bruce Campbell.
