More contemporarily, maybe "Titanic: The Risen". The ghosts of the departed passengers return and wreak their revenge on...someone.
Yeah, unfortunate but true that there is a slim time window of opportunity for sequels to great movies (with the SAME actors/characters) - after that they basically just become pale remakes..........

I was kinda joshin' about Titanic. I think the reason some movies are great is that there is no sequel. Ya know, quit while the quittin's good, leave 'em wanting more...
The History of the World Part 2
The Last Starfighter
Weird Science ( Whatever happened to the doll they’ve created? )
Twilight Saga [ Only the love story between Jacob Black and Renesmee ( Bella and Edward Cullen’s daughter) ]
They don't make them as good as the Alien movies anymore. If they could make them as good as the first too, I would pay to see more of those.
As far as movie I'd enjoy seeing a sequel to: The Blind Side. Wasn't Oscar worthy, but I would have loved to see the story progress further into the lives of all involved. Yes I can find more on the real people by reading, but I would enjoy watching more of the story on screen as well.
I wish they would have made a Dumb and Dumber sequel that actually had Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels in it.
I don't think many people would want to see it, but I would also like to see a 3rd Wayne's World movie.
There was actually a interview with Jeff Daniels recently and he said he would be up for it but I don't think Jim Carrey is up for it.
I agree that the remake was very poor. That doesn't justify a sequel, though.
