The soundtrack of Saturday Night Fever was played to death by me. I realize disco isn't the "highest" music form, but it helped me come out of my shell at high school. Had no personality, but boy, could I dance!
I liked the lush sound of disco also, and the hint of the glamorous world that I knew existed out there somewhere.
Speaking of out there somewhere, the Moody Blues span the decades, so they'd count as 70s. Right Double-H?
I also like a lot of funk, especially The Meters. I know this isn't quite the 70s, (1969) but it does have that "sound".
