I liked alot of them but Nicolette Larson had a good one.

My mother liked those artist. I liked Led Zepplin, Medusa, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix, Sly and Family Stone, Alice Cooper, Blue Oyster Cult, Black Oak Arkansas. My mom was a big Carole King fan. I have only appreciated her since I got old.

They were formed by Ian Mathews. Who???Ian Mathews has been on the music scene a long time; sadly, this song went top 20 in the Spring of '71 and few people remember it now. Their version was off the album Later That Same Year, released on Decca. I recommend it!
That is such a pretty version - so glad for the internet!

Joe is one of my favorite singers who participated in Woodstock. His version of A Little Help From My Friends ranks high on the list for me.

I used to have a tape that included that one and Jealous Kind. His voice is soothing in that one.

I remixed the song Hotel California and mixed it to a bunch of martial art clips.

I'd hardly characterize any of those folks as 'one hit wonders' nor Carole King as a writer/performer of 'hippie songs'.
