::hangs up from Harrry the owner... cleaning man can't make it... waves to the garbage man out the window, turns and goes downstairs... flip on lights, runs hot water and starts cleaning the place... ::
:: finally finished... tables shining, wooden floor mop... doors and windows open to fresh air and sunshine... sawdust springled... and "whiskers" the cat has just sashayed in.. leaping onto counter, making herself a cozy spot where the sunlight streams in..::
"Whatcah want to hear Whiskers... " ::dragging full metal cans out to the street... shade eyes looking one way then the other, sees Nina... thinking the rest of those cats must still be sleep...:: "Nina! Come on in here and sing me a song girl... "
::crook smile meets her bright one as she laughs and turns to the direction of the tavern... walking back in.. hit the stage switch... a buzz fill the air then settles as she walks in...::
"It's all set... just go head... what you drinking these days? Water?"
Nina Simone - I Want A Little Sugar In My Bowl - (audio 1967 but also popular in 70s from the album Sing the Blues)
As you said 6 FOOT 3, Sir, this video is very nice, so nice that one can walk right into it. The guitar, violins, and harmonies recreate summer. I found myself in a rich green meadow, under the sun's gaze. Such a feeling of lighthearted gaity--it was delightful! ~smile~
This is a lovely song ... thank you, Sir, for sharing it.
Love 1970s music and could mention so much, but I'll limit it to Fleetwood Mac and The Eagles.
