I have been so disgusted with Rolling Stones list, so I thought I would see what your opinions are. I'm not asking who you think is the most skilled or technical, but who captures the art of guitar and creates something that best compliments the underlying music to make something that sounds beautiful. Mine, in no particular order:

Brian May of Queen
Jimi Hendrix
Eric Clapton
B.B. King
James Hetfield of Metallica
David Gilmour of Pink Floyd
George Harrison of the Beatles
Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin
Kurt Cobain of Nirvana (prob gonna get some flack for this but you gotta admit the songs are simple yet meaningful)
Can't really decide a last one so I'm just gonna go ahead and say Eddie Van Halen

Why don't you actually post a list. It's all opinion , no right or wrong here.
