Check out YouTube sensation Jackie Evancho's performance on 'America's Got Talent'. The 10-year-old wowed judges with her performance.

She's doing pretty darned well I gotta say. Her album - which was just released today - has already sold around 40,000 copies (nearly all of them advanced orders) on QVC alone (probably more by now actually) and she's been duking it out for the #1 spot with Susan Boyle & Taylor Swift on Amazon.com for the last 4 weeks or so (with advanced orders). Most of that time she's held #2 but dropped briefly to #5 or so and held #1 for a bit more than a week or so (I think). At this precise moment the Amazon.com top 10 albums are:

1) Susan Boyle
2) Jackie Evancho
3) Josh Groban
4) Cast of Glee
5) Bruce Springsteen
6) Taylor Swift
7) Bruce Springsteen (yes again)
8) Kid Rock
9) Norah Jones
10) Rascal Flats

Pretty impressive company for a little 10-year-old newcomer.

Aside from recording her new album, she's been a busy little girl - performing on various TV talks shows & in the same show with Seal, Martina McBride, Donna Summer, Chaka Khan, Natalie Cole, Kenny Loggins, Michael Bolton, Earth, Wind & Fire in LV for David Foster and WILL BE performing at the NYC X-mas tree lighting ceremony show (to be broadcast on TV) with Susan Boyle, Mariah Carey, Sheryl Crow, Josh Groban, Jessica Simpson, Annie Lennox & Katherin Jenkins. She's also apparently scheduled to sing the National X-mas lighting ceremony in Washington DC (the President will be attending).

Pretty impressive for a 10-year-old.
She's going to be a big, big, big star.

Well, First day sales numbers are out (and I'm assuming this includes the pre-order sales I'd mentioned earlier) and it looks like she's sold just a bit under 300,000 albums (probably coming in right behind Susan Boyles 318,000 for the week (who is likely to be #1)) - so she's a bit more than half-way to having her first "gold" album - maybe the youngest American ever to do that (assuming she succeeds - which is a pretty safe bet I would think).
