Old Navy would LOVE your lyrics! I really did LOL as I recalled some of the ON ads they have aired. Remember the old days when they had all of the celebrities?

I have the PERFECT version! I see your "My Way" and raise(?) you "My Way! Or, is that a call?

Yoda - Weird Al

Yoda, Weird Al - YouTube

Of course you are talking to a great Star Wars fan. Have a couple songs.

Jedi Lightside (Apologies to The Killers - Mr. Brightside)

Coming out of his tree
He has heard a crash
gotta be down, because of the fall
it started out with a miss
How did it end up like this
it was only a miss
the Dark Side trick
Now I have a paduwan
and he's training calm not mad
but he's finding it hard
to believe in the force
and it's all in his head
I lift up the X-Wing now
he believes in the Force now
let the power flow
My paduwan will be the one
to defeat the Emperor's control
Jealousy, turning men into dark force disease
turning the galaxy evil complete
Choking with dark force, cry
But it's just the price I pay
Destiny is calling me
Open up and speak to Obi-Wan
Because we're Jedi Lightside
Coming out of hiding
and we're doing just fine
gotta gotta be calm because the lightside force we control
training Luke is hit and miss
how did it end up with this
but the midichlorians are not remiss
he's the light sidehammering fist
Now trainings nearly complete
He's sure he's got to go
He is not finished but his destiny he senses
He's after Vader now
Not ready for this show
But I just can't say no
The force is his to control
Destiny, rescuing Han from frozen fate in carbonite
Emperor Defeat
Countering Force choke, denied
But it's just the price we pay
Destiny is calling us
Open up your evil eyes
Cause we're Jedi Lightside
We Are
We Are
We Are
We Are
Jedi Lightside

50 Ways to Leave Your Father (Disclaimer: May be less than 50 ways)

Luke, I am your Father
Nooooooo
I will shoot you with laser
slice you with lightsaber
freeze you in carbonite
sell you to the Hutt's
feed you to Sarlacc (sand monster)
sell you to Jawas
does a droid chip work on a cyborg?
eject you from a smuggler's cargo hold
and if I may be so bold
blow you up on Death Star
and if all of that don't work
I will sic Yoda back on you
to finish the job
that Obi Wan left undone
now we're just getting started
I will put you in a strange band
to tour across strange lands
stick you on Hoth
and maybe blow it up
throw you into Bespins clouds
can I use force choke?
Am I allowed?
Wait, I ain't supposed to get angry and mad
that is quite bad
come on over here Dad
here's a hug
for you is number 1
for killing evil emperor
and thus forgiven
and in your memory
I will keep living
to bring balance to the Force
and keep watch over the universe
It's a big job but someone's gotta do it...

Cantina band 10 hours - YouTube

I might tease PDF a little bit about being safe in the bars of LA. I include it as Yoda is of course set to Lola. Rated for adult theme. Don't read if easily offended.

Met a Girl (Apologies to Puddle of Mudd, and the Kinks - Lola)

Met a Girl

Thought she was grand
Then I found out she was a man...
Oh my Lord, went down
Then I found out she was a dude
She has a thing I can grab
Never thought I'd be the one to see
Then I started to realize
We were both surprised
Here name is Lola
Just, her name is Lola
Lalalala
I ran real far
And she tore off after me and caught me
She was Queen for about an hour
Laughed it away, hour of power
She took all I ever had
No sign of guilt, no feeling bad
No
In a trap, trip I can't grab
Never thought I'd be the one night stand
Then I started to Realize
She has beautiful eyes
Here name is Lola
Just, her name is Lola
Lalalala
I ran real far
And she tore off after me and caught me
And ripped my clothes away
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
That's my story
As you see
Learned my lesson and so did she
Now it's over, and I'm glad
Cause I'm a fool for Lola, man
Her name is Lola
Her name is Lola
Lalalala

Where do I begin?! It's going to take my muddled mind awhile to wrap around all of the words, especially with this fibrofog-inducing weather. I'm having trouble putting two complete thoughts together. Be patient with me!

I'll see your Weird Al and raise you "The Saga Begins".

It's actually cloudy here today, and drizzled ever so slightly, making it quite muggy.

I will use the word "The" to great effect and raise with It's the End of the World by REM

Our Illinois weather cannot decide what it wants to be~just a mess. Today, it's air conditioner; tonight, it might be furnace. Meanwhile, I feel like Rocky's punching bag.

I'll see your song and raise you the originator's version. (As far as I know, she is.)

Merrilee Rush & the Turnabouts - Angel of the Morning - YouTube

In the late Sixties, they made over the local skating rink into a teen club named Pollyanna. One of the first live performers was Merrilee Rush, whom we girls decided was NOT a "nice girl", not with that song! So, we did what any protestors did back then: boycotted her! I doubt she noticed. Maybe we should have carried signs and picketed. *giggle* Hey! This was rather a naughty song by innuendo back then~in the same vein as "Let's Spend the Night Together" and "Norwegian Wood". Yes, we were that innocent.

Yeah, about the innuendo. I caught an Andrews sisters song where they sing about dropping their panties. So risque, for the 40's haha.

I will raise ya with Till the Morning Comes by Neil Young.
